Skin

Hi @Juliet boxall

I've been having problems with dry skin and eczema on my hands. Eumovate ointment has just got rid of the latest round of the eczema and am using cetraben for the dryness.

I've also bought some latex free gloves for washing up so that I can avoid water / detergents as much as possible. I've also stopped washing my hands before every blood glucose test - doesn't seem to interfere with readings.

All this means the situation is much improved.

Te wife a non diabetic has an allergic eczema on her hands and uses coconut oil .. seems to work

yes and ezcema on my hands , coconut oil is also very good for the skin and cheap and without bad chemicals... also healthy to eat 1-2 spoonfull a day, good for skin and hair... eating vitamins of the B-complex is also helpfull for skin conditions... there is a lot of vitamin B´s in bread and grains...

Hi, after many years of sore hands from washing up, I now use the ecover washing up liquid original and have no problem now. Only have to use another type just once and it all flares up again.
