Slightly blurry vision recently, but well controlled sugars ?

Hi folks,

Sorry for asking another question.

The past week I’ve been experiencing slightly blurry vision, like I need to squint to get things in focus.

As background, I was diagnosed T2 just over 2 months ago with a HbA1c of 58 and since diagnosis, have worked very hard on LCHF and losing weight.

My blood sugars are generally in range now but I’m panicking about this blurry vision.

Is it possible that my body was used to the higher levels and this is a temporary consequence of a new blood sugar level ? Or should I be worried about something else.

I have the eye screening appointment on the 24th April - which I was actually going to postpone as I’m really nervous about the procedure.

At a loss on this right now... in fact quite depressed about it

Again appreciate any advise from the more knowledgeable.

Cheers,

Jay

Jay, my first response is "no" .... you don't have to worry as it's common as your eyes adjust to lower BS

That to one side, DO get it checked as it's routine and could well be something equally benign and I'm betting it is

Thanks for your response Mike, I think the right thing to do is to have the screening and get over the anxiety of the procedure

Hi @jay_london ,

I whole heartedly agree with what Mike said.

& don't worry about the eye screening. It's just some drops in the eye to dilate the pupils & some photography..
Sugest you take shades & a baseball style peaked hat for the journey home? (You will be advised not to drive.)
The drops will/should wear off in a couple of hours? (If that!) :)

Thanks Jaylee, I feel better after your posts, hopefully things will settle over the coming weeks and I will go for the screening. Get over the FOFO that I’m dealing with.

Thanks for the advice on the cap, will take the shades and get someone to drive me there
