Turnips and Tuna fish!
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday dinner of lamb, sprouts and brocolli, and sneaked in a tiny tinned new potato. (hubby had the rest of the tin). I also made a genuine mistake and put mint jelly on my lamb.

2 hours later? BS up to 9.8 and strugglling not to fall asleep at the computer (I am working from home today). I didn't think about the mint jelly at all when I put it on the meat. Just checked the jar and it was a massive 66g per 100g! I can't think the tiny spud made too much impact, guess it was nearly all the fault of the jelly.

Another lesson learned.

Carol

Diabetes is a never ending lesson! At least now you know. But that dinner did sound lovely :)

Fresh mint next time ... like my mum used to make :)

fresh mint, finely chopped, in a dash of vinegar and water is what I have always had.

Yes, it will be fresh mint sauce next time. I just can't believe I didn't think to check first! I also noted (after eating it) that it expired last year!

Not a repeatable situation. Duh!

Carol

Not to worry @cazza54
Things with foods and diabetes are/can be learned or discovered .
The journey can be a learning or discovery route for us .

I learn something new 'often' either through discovery or learn the hard way
painful or blood sugars with me .
At Christmas I learned gluten/wheat allergy was in my Yorkshire pudding ! :inpain::(
