Hi everyone,

I’m a little unsure as to whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing for levels to be higher at 3 hours, is it good that it’s rising slowly or bad that’s it’s not come down quick enough??
This is only when I eat certain things that contain a lot of fat and I have read that fat slows things down etc but can’t find anymore info on it.
Thanks :)

I guess in an ideal world they wouldn’t rise at all - so either your body would be able to keep up or if you are injecting insulin you would get the peak of the insulin to match the peak of the food and they’d cancel each other out. Easier said than done though!

Higher than what? Pre prandial? By how much? What else was with the fat?

also it’d help if we know more to answer your questions. Which type and medication especially. Filling in your profile with these details saves you being asked constantly.
