Small vessel disease

In January i had a seizure possibly due to low magnesium, this is still low but after a head MRI it showed small vessel disease GP syas this is due to diabetes and high blood pressure. I have been on metformin for about20 yrs now also have sitagliptin also have been on BP meds for many years is svd going to turn into dementia now scared.

Thanks for the reply i am ok re control if diabetes i can do it levels can be 6+, more on getting up, BP is ok can go high on occasions, i am walking 10,000 + steps every day and attempting the 1 million steps for diabetes uk but without spnsorshio as did that last year. Its just a shock re svd as i was a menta health nurse for 39 yrs approx 30 yrs looking aftr pple with dementia My last HbA1C in June was 55 oops totally my own fault, as i reduced a metformin thinking i knew better got a telling off lol
