I have gastritis on glucophage 2000mg and I may have to try slow release metformin.I have heard that some slow release tablets are big and I would struggle to take these .Does anyone know which slow release metformin are the smallest.? Any replies appreciated.I find d swallowing even paracetamol difficult.
No.I am afraid there wont be any smaller size since one tablets has actually two tablets inside as the other one will be released after eight hours in your system.
Hi. I have used different makes of Met SR and I'm afraid they are all big and shouldn't be broken as they have a coating (not two tablets inside) and this would affect the absorption rate. I think you will find the 500mg version slightly smaller than the 1000mg version I currently have so try having multiple tablets of that?
