Snacks for induction

Hi everyone,
I'm due to be induced at the end of December, just wondering how people got on food wise and whether there are any foods you'd recommend to try and keep steadier blood sugars? I'm on a closed loop system to manage my type 1 which has been greay through the pregnancy, and would really like to keep managing it without a sliding scale through labour/c section if I can!
Thanks!

Hey, I was induced last year and also on a closed loop system. What worked best for me was sticking to small, low-GI snacks – oatcakes, nuts, Greek yogurt, and small portions of berries helped keep my levels steady without sudden spikes. I avoided white bread, juice, or big carb-heavy meals during early labour.

Once things progressed and I couldn’t eat solids, sipping on no-sugar electrolyte drinks helped maintain energy without raising sugars too much. Definitely speak to your diabetes team beforehand to have a plan ready.

Hope it all goes smoothly for you! Also, did my SASSA Status Check this morning while prepping snacks – keeping everything in order before the week starts.
