Hello everyone, newly diagnosed with T1 and I’m just trying to get to grips with what to eat, can anyone give me ideas on things to snack with, things to avoid, and ideas for breakfast’s etc, thank you!

With type 1 you can eat what you want if you have been taught to carb count and calculate your insulin dose.
I just follow a "normal" healthy diet - plenty of fresh fruit and veg with the occasional bar of chocolate and packet of crisps.
Whenever I eat carbs I take insulin and maintain a good, stable BG.

I haven’t been taught to carb count yet because I go on holiday this week so I have been told to wait until I’m back so I’m just trying keep my blood glucose low in the time being
