I need to moan and get some advise. I am really struggling with my levels. Supposed to managing with diet and Metformin yuk ! Just got back from 1.50 workout in the Gym, a bloody hard work out, had very little to eat today. Just tested 15.2, ***!!!! surely this can not be right

If I test immediately after an intense work out, I always get a high reading. I think the liver dumps some extra glucose into the system when under particular exertion. I haven't figured out a way around it yet.

Yes you probably went too low . So frustrating isn't it? You said you had very little to eat it would be better to have a little more to eat before an intense workout. don't worry too much I understand the benefits appear over alonger period.
As already stated best not to test immediately afterwards but better still perhaps to avoid the huge spike by eating a few extra carbs befoorehand . I am sure there are other strategies on the exercise thread .

Dureing an intense workout where the muscles are being worked to exhaustion the body eg muscles and other tissue and organs not just the liver releace glucagon or glycogen. That could easily be the reason for elevated glucose levels
