Rice is high carb. Fruit also has a lot of carbs, especially grapes and bananas. See https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/fruitsMy main diet was curry and rice. Now I have changed to brown rice and also stopped drinking tea. Now have Apple grapes pears etc. At the moment my diet is all over the place because am fasting for Ramadan. Which is why my bg might be good. Just want to know what to eat and what to avoid once I start eating normal.

It's not up to the doctor. You have the control to either make your condition better or worse. What was your doctor doing got the last 8 years to try to stop you progressing? Nothing?
True but too many doctors seem to ignore the problem. In the end, it will be down to the individual to take responsibility. It's not up to the doctor. You have the control to either make your condition better or worse.
The doc will give you pills etc but it is the life changes you have to make that will give you the results in my opinion.
