Hi
Had to share my latest blood results!

On 5th Feb my Hba1c was 67 and my total cholesterol was 6.2

Had repeat bloods done on 7th Mar and my Hba1c was 59 and my total cholesterol down to 5.3

Obviously still a bit high but a huge reduction in 1 month …. Just through diet changes and walking, no meds.

I choose to ignore the nurses comments saying 59 is out of control as she didn’t know my previous result from a month before but the doctor said it was a fantastic reduction

Thanks for all the advice on this forum

With only a month between tests some of your platelets will still be from the “old you” they have a life of between 8 to 12 weeks so that’s an amazing result, well done keep doing what you’re doing. Your next text could be lower still once you get all those old platelets out if your system. Your doctor is right it’s a fantastic reduction

You should be proud, very well done!

My GP had said there was no point getting a Hba1c test done any earlier than 3 months as I wouldn’t see a reduction…

But I just happened to be getting bloods done for a different doc that included Hba1c so absolutely thrilled to see that reduction in that space of time

Need to focus and continue to do what I’m doing until I’m getting next Hba1c done in 2 months for my gp

Hoping to get down to the 40’s!

Great result. It is also inspirational stories that gives me hope.
