Hi all,
Just moved over from the Introductions Forum, I've got BG monitor ordered as advised on the site.
So far my GP/PN haven't really given any info/help. Apparently when my Cholesterol check returns they will asses the risk, not sure what all that is about?
I've started a low carb diet, the 8 week blood sugar diet by Dr Mosley ( is this the Newcastle Diet?), and I do feel a bit better after just a few days. Still get light-headed mid afternoon ( this has been going on for a couple of years) and was part of the reason for my referral.
To be honest it was a big relief to find out what was wrong with me, I'd been feeling rotten for a good 18 months. All the classic symptoms except the weight loss, finally diagnosed. So now I can deal with things.
It's just the lack of information/guidance that is frustrating, and too much conflicting information on the web, I've mad a decision to just stick to this web site for all my needs.
Thanks for listening and I'm sure I'll be back on soon.
