Wonder if anyone can help please. My husband had his bloods and urine taken in preparation for his Type 2 annual check. The phlebotomist rang today to say she needed to repeat his sodium as it was slightly raised. Two tests are needed and if the second one comes back raised then he will see a doctor at the practice.
Just wondered if this has happened to others and if anyone knows what the cause could be and what treatment he may need. Have to say that when he had his bloods taken two weeks ago he had a terrible cold (negative Covid) and went on to have a chest infection. Luckily third antibiotic seems to be doing the trick. Not sure any of this would influence the result.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
