wonder if anyone got any experience with this . About 5pm today I started feeling a feeling like I've been stung by a wasp or something on sole of foot below ball of toes , it's just a wee red mark but I have had to take my shoes of as it's uncomfortable to put weight on , any thoughts anyone?

I had this and turned out to be a foot infection
Keep looking at it
If starts to grow in size of dot
See doc as prob need antibods

Please do keep a close eye on this (your feet) and also your blood sugars too .
May be the start of an infection or a trauma area to skin (break) ?
Keep area clean and dry whilst its sore and tender too .

Blood sugars can rise/spike a little with infection .
If area is red and painful to weight bear? could be something brewing ?

If any doubt or further concerns - best to let your GP have a look .
Your feet carry you around after all and deserve the best care
you can give them .

The podiatrist I saw has said to ring the diabetes normal one (it was advanced practitioner I saw yest.) & have the dry /dead skin cut off & a dressing; then when its healed I can get the steroid inj done. Yippee

Got a late appointment with podiatrist on Wednesday evening . She had a look and said it looked and identified it as a blister . It was the size of a tiny pea but I told her I couldn't put any weight on it as it was just right in the middle of the soul of my right foot so she drained it and then dressed it with spongy stuff, when she was finished I stood up and not surprisingly to me I could still feel it even with the padding , she seemed a little surprised , she told me to leave the dressing on for a few days but to contact her if anything strange starts to happen , does anyone know how many days after a blister is lanced you should stop feeling it and how many days it takes to get through until your protected from infection?
