So im still fairly new to all of this - Diagnosed at the back end of june with a HBA1C of 114/125 (either side of a weekend)

Background.

Exercise and diet have got me down to a healthier 45 after about 3.5 months and a massive reduction in finger prick readings from high teens to the 5-7 range.

I am maintaining a pretty ULC diet but i do allow my self the occasional - once a month or so treat of a bit of ice cream (1 scoop or so).

Weight loss has been about 11-kgs and BP has reduced into normal range - 116/72 last time i measured. Cholesterols are also down after 3 months.

Looking back over my daily BG readings - i think they are starting to creep up ever so slowly. I plunged from high teens into low double figures and then continued the decrease getting to daily numbers that broadly were in the 5's. (Liver dump first thing excepted - that seems to have a mind of its own)

However over the last two weeks daily numbers are beginning to creep up and are now mostly in the 6s. Diet hasn't changed and exercise continues at the same rate (3 x week). The only thing that has gone 'wrong' was some sourdough i had last weekend that caused elevated blood sugar for about 24 hours.

Should i be concerned about what appears to be a slow rise or is this just the bouncing up and down that occurs as things start to improve ?

Thoughts on a post much appreciated?

I think a slight rise in just a couple of weeks is nothing to get excited about. there are so many factors tha can affect our levels. Emotional and physical stress, problems at work or in our personal life, poor sleep, changes in the weather, other medical conditions, infections, the list is pretty much endless.
We are not machines that if you provide X amount of fuel , this or that will happen for X amount of time. We are all unique complex organic living beings, and unfortunately we do not come with a operating manual.
If after a few more weeks the trend in your results is still upward, maybe there is something going on you need to address, but I would say it's far too early to be thinking along those lines.
