Some nurses are hopeless!

Just been to the surgery and my diabetes nurse advised me that my HbA1c is fine! It’s 63 for heavens sake! It has gone up from 50 in September and I put on weight not a lot but my sugars were going up for no apparent reason which I went for bloods for anyway. I am now getting it under control again, thank goodness but it was an underlying condition causing it. I’ve to go back to docs for monitoring but really I think they should know better!
Sorry rant over!

I think they are used to seeing such high numbers that 63 just looks fine to them...

Is this like when you ring the hospital to see how a patient is and they say they've had a "comfortable night". My mother was found wandering in the hospital grounds zonked out of her head on a new medicine on having a "comfortable night".
