It is very strange that a diet very low in saturated fats but high in polyunsaturated fats and trans fats plus the rise in highly processed foods combined with higher and higher carb values has seen a rise in CHD and CVD, don't you think? All of these changes in the last circa 50 years, I might add.I had heart issues too mate and I’ve been taking 4000mg garlic capsules also avoided saturated fats and foods high in cholesterol.
My heart has recovered thank goodness but I would say low-carbing and achieving a low HBA1C are the answers!
Well done!

I had background retinopathy so I was advised by my endo to avoid saturated fats and foods high in cholesterol... for the time being.
We are all different!
Wow, that is some turnaround!
I'm afraid I haven't got a clue about your theory of a blockage. I think you might need a qualified medical opinion on that.
But I would like to say how great those results are.
Are they going to monitor you closely, to make sure that the change is stable?
your endo obviously knows very little about cholesterol then..I had background retinopathy so I was advised by my endo to avoid saturated fats and foods high in cholesterol... for the time being.

I'm glad you are getting better. Thank you for your kind wishes, genuinely feel better than I have for years. Not 100% but I've improved massively in he last 2 weeks@Steviechurch74 ive had heart issues too when I was a baby I was born with transposition of the greater vessels (basicly it’s where your heart is the wrong way round and blood can’t flow right) and more recently I’ve had a tachycardia heart rate I felt like my heart was fluttering and I was going to faint eventually doctors put a 3 week ECG on me (I can wear it at home when I’m out etc) but thankfully they found out what was wrong I’m now on beta blocker (btw did anyone else hear that beta blockers cause hypo unawareness?) Good luck and get well soon
