He used rather obscure tunings. I've not heard anyone play like him. Mr Chris has tried but it's the tunings that escape him.hi i like the song pink moon, i also have the album. These songs are really hard to play on guitar. tone.
My favourite album is the Five Leaves Left, but I do havee Pink Moon as well. Shame he was so under-rated in his lifetime though his sister (actress Gabrielle Drake) does seem to find the odd old recordings. There was a box set released recently which included some home recordings of him and his mother Milly.yes chris you are right about the tunings it sounds like he has tuned down and the finger picking is really good. someone gave me the cd pink moon 10 years ago and i really liked it tone.
