Sooo thirsty, late afternoon and night

Ok folks, gentle now

Been diabetic for almost 15 years ALL my readings over the last 4 years are perfect...I'm type 1

Just been of the DAFNE course, have to say bloody brilliant, throughly recommend it.
this is where they found out I was taking too many units of insulin so the have corrected it and this is where I believe the problem lies.
(Yes I've asked them but alas they say "just keep monitoring"

When I was first diagnosed I had NONE of the typical symptoms (no flaming here coz I know most of us are different)

This is my problem:-

I am constantly THIRSTY, but only late afternoons and nite time
No matter how much fluids i take i am still thirsty

Any one else have/had this problem :thumbup:
 
Hi,
I have the same problem... I think. Are you on an insulin pump or injections? If your on an insulin pump it might be your basel rate at the time. Also, its because your BG Levels are probely high. Is it also another consequence thing that your mouth gets all spity and the spit gets thick :sick: (thats what happends to me). If your on injections, I would suggest seeing your consultant at hospital, or any specialist.
