sore eyes & swollen eyelids

Joined the forum last week been diet controlled for a couple of years .Started on Gliclazide last week
and was given testing monitor for the first time Fasting I"m at 11.4 Before Dinner 7.7 not feeling so tired since starting medication, but my eyes are looking really bad appreciate any help on this. When I started testing last week I was 12.3 fasting and 13.5 before evening meal.
 
gliclazide will bring BG down, but it might cause weight problems. As to the eyes, it could be quite unrelated and I think you should get it checked by at least a Practice Nurse.
 
Sounds like blepharitis, or possibly conjunctivitis. All sorts of minor infections like this can be associated with running high BG. Until you can get your BG down on a long term basis I'd try to get them to prescribe some antibiotic ointment. Anything like this really needs a proper diagnosis IMO.
