Type 2 Sore foot

For the last few days iv had a really sore foot on the arch, & around big toe, my sister has had the same problem, she was pre diabetic last yr but was told yesterday her hb1c is 51! Is this foot problem related 2 diabeties?

Hey Amanda,
I'm not sure to be honest as I have not had this particular experience.I did have my feet seen by my Diabetic Nurse around diagnosis as a type 2 in July.I also had severe leg pain in my lower left front calf muscle,very sudden and worrying.So right off to the doc.He was sure it was just muscular.He did mention that neuropathy usually affects both feet or legs equally rather than just one.I would still go and get it checked tho if you are concerned.
It is a habit of mine to look at every ache and pain as if it is diabetes related even if it is not,just human nature I suppose.
I am careful with my shoes now and don't wear any thing tight fitting or that may rub my feet.
Have you been out celebrating too much in heels??

Thanks for reply, no not really only about twice over christnas, my sister never wears heels, will go get it checked
