Sore Throat

Hi Type 2 Diabetic here.

I have a sore throat and back in the pre-diabetic day would just reach for a packet of lockets or soothers, but obviously these are full of sugar, so what do you's use to relieve a sore throat thats diabetic friendly...( Agony Here).

There are some sugar-free Strepsils that i sometimes take, but I don't like them. For a sore throat I prefer rinsing/gargling with lukewarm salted water, and drinking lots of hot water with lemon. Extra Vit C and zinc help, too!

I use Tyrozets, you have to ask for them from behind the counter. One of the ingredients is sucrose but they are really good and you don't need many of them. My BGs were up because of being ill anyway so I didn't feel it made much difference!
