Hi,

I have a small but very leaky sore on my groin area next to my leg. Is this diabetes related and what should I do about this if it is? Some times it looks like it is leaking a green snot. I am just a bit worried as I have never had anything like this before in this area.

Thanks

See your GP asap. This may or may not be Diabetes related but it needs treatment.

Whatever is causing it, it needs to be looked at. If it is leaking "green snot", it's probably puss, which is never a good thing. You could well need some antibiotics to clear that up.

But, please do get it seen to. Having any sort of infection meandering around our bodies isn't a good place to be in.

I've had that long in the past and it's damned painful. Sometimes it needs to be drained by a GP, sometimes it just leaks after a warm shower and a compress of a face washer mix of antiseptic and hot water to relieve the build up. But an antibiotic is recommended. One certainty ... get it seen to
