I make loads of soup. All you need is a saucepan. Put in whatever meat you have, any green vegetables, mushrooms, a stock cube or teaspoon of marmite or Bovril, olive oil and/or butter (I use both) herbs to season if you want, a splosh of cider vinegar, bone broth if you make it (chicken carcase makes divine bone broth after the meat has been taken off) a slice of lemon or lime, garlic if you like it, boil water in a kettle (cheaper than heating water in a saucepan) add to ingredients, put lid on saucepan, bring to simmer then switch to very low heat for an hour, switch off and let it cook in its own heat. Never tastes the same twice running, always tastes great.
