Self absorbed and rude people! Motorists who are oblivious to the rest of the world, and really don't give a ****!
I have just been reading an article online about Diabetes, in the food discussion they mention using Soy, but in small quantities as it can be toxic, this led to a website all about Soy and it mentioned that it can cause pancreatic disease when used over a long period of time. This I found rather alarming, I have been using Soy Milk for some time on my breakfast in a bid to lower my cholesterol - does anyone know any more about this please :?:

It has been discussed on here many times. If you do a search with the keyword 'Soy' or 'Soya' you should find the references to it. I posted about it recently but not at base at the minute so you will have to find them yourself.........

Cheers Cugila

Back now......here is a link to much information about Soy etc, fair bit of reading but worth it I thnk.

Fairly comprehensive I think. There are many sites where Soy etc is praised to the heavens and others which deride it. I prefer to read this sort of more balanced research which is not promoting or deriding the product. Good and bad in parts.......

Hope that helps........

Recenlty I only drink soy milk but I also hear about soy and its potential dangers.
Sigh..
After reading these threads I will have to drink less soy but start to drink almond milk then.

Never heard of almond milk. Where do you get it?
Hi jumbleannie1VDJQ,
This one:
Silk PureAlmond - Unsweetened
http://www.silkpurealmond.com/#a=3;r=1

or Almond Breeze - Original Unsweetened
http://almondbreeze.com/?navid=329
but probably I will switch to taking calcium pills instead of drinking milk for calcium sooner or later :?. Not sure what this almond milk will give me. I had been drinking soy milk for a few months now and I think my thyroid and my kidneys don't like that very much (as the article said.... :|).

How do the Japanese handle it then, its a important part of thier food sorce?

The Japanese ferment soy, they don't consume it like Westerners.

I can't see the point of soy milk- a handful of cheap beans in a box of very expensive water. Having read Cugila's report, I don't think I'll be changing my mind. Inconclusive results, not enough evidence, no long term data, potential breast tumour promoter.
