Spare Libre Birmingham?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone in the Birmingham/Stratford/Coventry area have a spare libre sensor? It's an emergency. I can buy it off you or replace it next week.

Yes Jim I have one, but I'm in Stratford. Ring me on xxxxx xxxxxx. I have some more on order so there's no need to replace it. I think it's £49.53.

II really would like to know, why somebody asks for help and when you've offered it they don't even take the trouble to acknowledge it. I've waited almost 3 hours so I'm going out now.
 
Hi Ken, did my friend manage to get in touch? Last I heard she'd tried ringing and sent you a text message. Sorry I couldn't reply on here to you until now.

I'm sorry. You're right.

I was expecting a note on here to say you would ring me. I don't use a mobile telephone except in emergencies, as I can't hear very well on it, but I couldn't think of any other way of making contact. As soon as my wife releases the phone, I'll ring the number on my missed call list.

Edit 11:25 - I've tried, but there's no reply.

Yes sorry, it's complicated but I just managed to forward your number then I was out of communication yesterday. My friends in hospital today for bloods so that might be why there's no answer. She's not on the forum as she's only just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes so I said I'd ask myself. Thank you anyway!

Where in the country are you, because in Birmingham I've asked more than once for a libre on trial,and have always been told there not available. Been type 1 for 38 years.

Hi - I saw my consultant last Monday and asked about the Libre. She said if I wanted one I would have to buy it myself as there is no funding available as yet. She did show me on the net that I wouldn't need to pay VAT and suggested buying the starter pack rather than individual bits. She certainly didn't suggest that they can be obtained FOC!
