Has anybody here being placed under a specialist diabetic team,,which has happened to myself, I found it a positive experience, UNTILL I found need to contact them ,for what ever reason ,in fact twice now turned into a nightmare , they are rarely there to answer my queries ,and answer machine ,even states could be several days for a response ,then always get calls from" number not know "(number with held) which I never answer ,then threatening letters ,stating will take me off their list, to which they have done once before,, I really take exception to being threatened ,at this moment in time I have had to contact PALS ,sadly ,,which makes them begin to jump about .just very frustrating.
And Davidden I totally agree with your last statement
It begs the question ,does Rapport even excist in the now nhs vocabulary

Hi,

I’m T1, I do have a specialist team.
Hard to contact, withheld IDs…. had a call back once & the ID said “Hospital radio??”

I’ve not had threatening post drop through my door.
But I have had letters stating “how important it is to engage with my diabetic team to achieve the best results in care..” (to paraphrase a little.)

An here we are engaging on a diabetic forum with other folk after advice on our own condition..

I appreciate the irony..

Best wishes.

I understand

I'm type 1, and also have a specialist team at the hospital who are great. I email them when I need to and they either email back or ring if I request it. Nurse usually uses mobile, which I've got the number of, occasionally hospital landline (number withheld) which I don't answer, so they leave a message.

I'd suggest you email them, if you haven't already done so.
