I've just reported on the Lizza bread.
Decided that Lizza is not for me.
These LC rolls are growing on me.
I am getting used to the slightly strange taste and texture.
My tentative conclusion is that I am accustomed to eating sandwich style meals and enjoy them more that the individual items not combined.
For example cheese, ham and tomato are all fine together on the plate, but somehow combined in a roll they are more satisfying.
This may not be logical, but motivation and enjoyment do count when you are planning and eating meals.
I've tried a sliced loaf and that was OK but not very inspiring.
I ate half and then neglected it and it went mouldy.
I have just received a new order of rolls and loaves and I think I will split the loaves into two separate packages and only use one half at a time.
I tried this sliced bread as toast, and it was dry as dust so not exciting at all.
As bread around a cheese toastie it worked much better.
I mean to try it as a non-toasted sandwich when I get round to it.
Looking back, I noticed in the past that I seemed to have an unexplained rise in my BG overnight when I ate these rolls.
Again looking back I have reported the same with the Lizza rolls.
Recent example with these LC rolls is having two with cold turkey (I was hungry) and my BG staying over 6 all night.
If I'd just had the meat I would have expected my BG to drop to 5 or below before slowly climbing due to extended DP.
So something is happening, I'm just not sure what.
There are allegedly very few carbs in the rolls.
As a side note I had cold gammon, peas and a portion of home cooked frozen chips last night along with a naughty beer, and my BG went up high and then straight down again to below 5.
So this overnight higher reading doesn't seem to be down to protein or carbohydrates per se, as I had protein (including peas) and carbohydrates and saw the usual expected response.
As usual, more investigation to follow.
