A couple of days ago, something out of the ordinary happened. I was very near my home, an ex neighbour stopped her car, looking upset and said she had a message for me. I invited her into my house. She said she had a connective message, from my daughters dad who died last year. We lived in the same street, the people who now live in the house are having problems and the lady is feeling things and is very sensitive ( also her name is the same as my daughters) My ex neighbour knows the people well. She said she had a message from **** about our daughter on a small bike, possibly pink and with tassels. We were in my kitchen and she said she could see an outline just behind me. She was quite emotional most of the time and it did make me uneasy, but surprised and inquisitive at the same time :?

We were drinking tea and then she said she would phone the couple and apparently the house was 'lighter', probably because of her giving me the message. After she went, I did and do feel uneasy about this because he was my ex partner, even though we remained good friends and I just don't want 'him' in my house and I have felt different, taking a shower/bath etc

I don't know if spirits exist, but I don't want one in my home especially my Ex, I don't feel comfortable anymore and how do I brush this aside. My daughter knows nothing of this. The ex neighbour and I have always got on well and I like her, so I know she hasn't done anything malicious or vindictive, it just makes me shudder sometimes. Is there a logical reason to this? It all sounds a bit out there, I know.

Thanks RRB x

I think your ex neighbour is a nut who is short of friends. Cut your ex neighbour out of the loop and go and see the new occupants of the house. They may look surprised and if they don't they are as nuts as your ex neighbour.

R u sure there were no spirits of the alcoholic type involved lol.

I don't drink, if that's what you mean :? and as far as I was aware, the lady in question didn't have alcohol on her breath, plus she was driving and then went to collect her 2 grandchildren from school.

I believe in spirits,I had 'lot's of goings on at my house until recently and all my family were experiencing it-nothing sinister but very strange(you'd be in a room and suddenly 5 electrical items would switch on at once by themselves, smoke alarms going off in the night)and we got a medium in who told me it was my Mum who died when I was a boy and she was around a lot because I was in a bad way physically and mentally, things have now improved for me and since recently it's all stopped.

Totally believe in spirits, sorry RRB, I know it can be confusing and frightening. Everyone has their own ideas on this one, - its almost as contentious as the whole low carb debate! :) if I were you, I'd decide what you believe, and go with that. Either it was a message from someone trying to help, or it was a chat with someone with an over active imagination. Don't let it worry you.

- chances are that now that the message has been delivered, any hypothetical spirits will have moved on.

Some places do feel really weird though. I've had lots of experiences, some sad, some sweet or funny, one or two really scary. I read tarot. When I used to tour, we stayed in some pretty random places. I always used to walk the house when we first arrived. There were a couple of places where my cards stayed locked in their box in the car! The worst one was a big old house on the bank of a Loch north of Glasgow. I was seriously not happy about staying there! One room I couldn't even get through the door way! The others thought I was being daft, but, next morning, they ALL wanted to move. IMMEDIATELY!! Funny that. :)

I don't believe such things RRB and you'd do well to just ignore what was said and get on with your life, sometimes people like to play with other peoples emotions and plant ideas in their heads.

Thank you for your replies, believers and unbelievers alike. My grown up daughter is in to spiritual things and a few years ago she said she didn';t want to worry me, but................she saw my mum, her nan in the hall way, I just said WHAT!!!

Anna, I did think that about the posts my self, strange goings on........... :o

Hi Robinredbreast, :)

There is this interesting point. When your daughter had her experience, that would make her a medium, therefore why did the dad or other spirit not contact her direct, or vise-versa.
I would definitely tell your daughter, she is grown up now and not stupid, besides if that so called neighbour tells your daughter first,it could lead to a bad atmosphere and your daughter asking you odd questions.

I would be really worried about that ex neighbours actions.

Like you, I don't no if spirits exist.
My daughter lives in a old cottage next to a old church and grave yard. When I am there the spirits don't come out,I must be so boring.

good luck with this one.

Roy. :)

Woops! just saw on a other thread that your grown Daughter is now 12. Sorry thought she was a adult.

Hi sorry if it was confusing, my grown up daughter, who does not live here, is interested in spiritual things. My 12 year old is the daughter in question, and she, our daughter of my ex partner ( her dad who died last year) was the spirit in question who gave the connective message to the lady.

Hope that cleared it all up :)

I think someone needs to urgently call these guys!

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm not trying to belittle anyone's beliefs.

I haven't told this story before but...... I was bought up completely non religious, not atheist just not religious my folks just said anything remotely spiritual is aload of nonsense which I have pretty much believed my whole life and to be honest still do but..... my dad died a week before my nieces wedding, his first grand daughter and everyone was upset and wanted to cancel the wedding but it went ahead.... I for some reason couldn't bring myself to walk the dog over the local park after he died I was in a dark place mentally and the park seemed to nicer a place, stupid as that sounds, well about 5 days past and I finally decide to hit the field, well I wasn't expecting this at all but as I was walking through this field of wheat like tall grass I was almost knocked off my feet from behind by what I can only describe as an energy, it felt as big as a house and wrapped around me, it was amazing I cannot explain it, it was pure love (only way I can think of describing it) It wore off by the time I got home, the hairs on the back of my neck are standing up just thinking about it 4 years later (now) I never felt the need to cry again, I even had no problem reading out a very long poem at his funeral (not like me at all) I went to my nieces wedding a few days later and weirdly I stood up and clapped when the bride and groom did the whole kiss thing when the groom looked at me and did a double take, my wife looked up at me and said did you that? well later on he told my niece he saw my dad standing up clapping in the church, obviously it was me but my dad had a big white beard etc and dosent really look like me much, I think he came to the wedding in me (lol I know how that sounds), I went back to the park the night after the wedding with the dog and had the same experience, it was just wonderful ive never experienced anything like it but this time although the energy was lessening I made it home still feeling it, if someone hasd told me my hair was standing on end I would have believed them (if you know what I mean) well im bending down in the kitchen taking the dogs lead off when the wife walks in the room, screams and runs out of the room saying stop it stop it your freaking me out, well I was just taking the dogs lead off nothing else, she actually felt it, she cannot explain what she felt just really cold feeling and she knew what it was etc, it faded away, I haven't ever felt or seen anything before or since and I cant say I wasn't losing my mind at the time as I would think anyone telling me this story was definitely nuts, but as far as I know this actually happened and would never say this stuff is nonsense although I wouldn't actively engage in anything spiritual, but whatever happened, it did happen, but back to your visiter if you have one, I doubt very much if we did become spirits that we would be interested in watching people in showers etc I would imagine it would be a more "spiritual" experience so I wouldn't worry

sorry for the long story

Lovely story Andy. I think you're right. My nan has been following me around, on and off for years. - I REALLY hope she looks the other way sometimes!! :)

Follow up from Andy's story; - ex boyfriend and I were out for a walk (err.... ;) ) one night. We decided to wander down Oxwich point (for anyone familiar with the Gower). It's a headland which forms one end of Oxwich bay. It has an old church at the inland end, - despite living near for most of my life, I couldn't tell you what's at the other end as I've never been past the church.

Anyway, I hadn't been to Oxwich since I left to live in London, aged 18, - 20yrs before, so off we wandered, hand in hand. (Aah!)

As we got to the end of the church yard, I froze. I physically couldn't go any further. It was as though every thing, - and there was NOTHING there, - everything turned and suddenly saw me! It was like being in a room full of predators and them all turning at once and starting stalking towards you. I have never been so scared in my life. We turned around a walked back, fast! I couldn't run, I couldn't look back and I couldn't breathe until we were back on the Tarmac. My boyfriend must have thought I was nuts but as I was practically in tears he, very wisely, said nothing!

I told my mum when I got home and she just shrugged. Apparently, even as a child, I wouldn't play at that end of the beach, wouldn't turn my back on it and had hysterics when my teacher tried to make me go past the church on a school trip.

The area was famous for smuggling and we have extremely old family connections in the area. A medium friend suggested that it may be a past life thing. I didn't want to go back to find out more!

Interesting thread!

I have always been frightened of spooky films etc and hated the idea of ghosts / spirits, think I would be attacked! Anyway, 2 yrs ago I opened a shop in a historic area of my local town. I worked on my own after shop closed and would feel 'something' nearby. Nothing happened but just a feeling. Then one night I was focused on work and I felt a nudge on the back of my chair. I didn't think anything of it but it happened again a few days later, almost shoving me into my desk. Weird but not frightened I spoke to a friend about it. Apparently the building was occupied by a husband wife and child who split up leaving the husband at home. (This was found out after speaking to the historical society) the husband apparently was angry at his wife for leaving....could the nudging have been him pushing me away???

Anyway, a few months later we moved into the flat above the shop. This has part of the oldest bit of the building to the rear over some outhouses, this is our bedroom now. My husband and I are regularly woken at night by either the room door opening or the wardrobe opening, this happened one night when we were watching tv!
But none of this frightened me as I feel it's a very innocent spirit ? Ghost? I don't know but if anything, it has made me think that some thing or energy exists. Sometime we may notice it, and what I feel here is calm, happy and positive!

Kat
