On the advice of my endocrinologist I’m going to try splitting my long acting basaglar, (Glargine), into two 12 hour doses instead of my usual one 24 hour dose as one of the ways he suggested adjusting to a 10 hour time zone change for a two week holiday. I plan to do this for a few days before travelling. Normally I would take one dose, in the morning. This is in addition to MDI of short acting insulin with meals and for corrections. I do have a free style libre 2 sensor to help with blood sugar management. I appreciate you can’t give dose advice but I wonder what your experiences are with these big time zone changes. Thanks for your thoughts
