Our 8yo son was diagnosed T1 a year ago and is currently on MDI (Novorapid and Lantus). For the last 3 days he has had episodes of running to the bathroom to be sick. It comes on with virtually no warning, is over very quickly with not much actually being brought up, and he immediately feels fine afterwards. This happened twice Christmas morning, then fine for a day and a half and today every four hours or so it happens. Christmas morning his ketones were 0.4 (highest we've ever seen, usually 0.1) but they came down and today they are 0.2. His diet and insulin dosage have been very typical and he has no other signs of illness. Does this sound like a symptom of T1, being high/low or side effect of insulin? We haven't been able to work out a cause or any pattern yet.
