Sporty Forty.e t

I feel.better now than I did at 38. I used to feel.washed out all of the time. Now I feel fab.
On holiday I climbed hills and mountain sides , in February I could hardly climb 2 flights of stairs.
When I look back at the original thread etc it is amazing what we have all achieved.

My big plus for today is actually touching my toes lol

The first picture is me last year before I really started to change my life. I keep it because its good to look back

The second to are my inspirational ones which prove to myself that I can achieve.

Yesterday I had to stand in big queues for the commonwealth games, I found myself moving back and forward , almost dancing , I must have used more calories that way than if I had just stood.
Today I was standing at home watching the tv , I did the same side steppy dance and my daughter told me I looked like I needed the toilet lol.
I think from now on im going to move back and forward a bit more lol

Did a swift 14 mins on bike before dinner so that's 40 ins of " proper" stuff done. Will do a bit more once dinner settles as there's a bowl of strawbs with my name on 4.

Did another 20 mins walk.....with hubby, but I need to do some ironing, so I couldn't walk for too long

I am beginning to think that you run a Chinese laundry with all the ironing that goes on.

well I haven't really done any for a while and son is working away again next week so I need to do 6 shirts quickish and a few casual clothes too.

well you are all super energetic compared with me at the moment my ankle is better but still hurts so no dog walking. see pipp I know you would have done chair exercises and zand you would have done ironing...

it is our wedding anniversary today I have made a chocolate mousse but I think I will be the only one eating it. hubbie is eating lc but hasn't quite got to my lack of sweetness yet. still all the more for me. he has been reading up on LCHF and of course he has carb flu - so much worse than me!!

ethyl are you near the lakes? youngest son has gone to scout camp and I was wondering what their weather was like especially as you said earlier it was cold.

lol 'man carb flu' then! Oh, you're wrong about me doing the ironing....I don't work if I'm in pain I whinge a lot instead.......have you tried that?

Just outside Kendal. It's been a lot cooler today and rained heavily overnight and is showering now. Forecast to be dry again tomorrow and Tuesday but only 18 degrees.

That is very true Peacetrain. We are encouraged to trumpet our successes, because it can be inspirational to others, but the line between inspiring and showboating can be a bit blurry. I hope I don't cross it too often, and I'm sure you lot would tell me if I did! But you do have to be aware of the sensibilities of the audience as well.

I think the mutual encouragement on this thread is great.

I did my 45 minute walk today, and 2 hours ironing watching the Commonwealth Games and the Grand Prix highlights.

Horses for courses Zand! You would be worse off if you did nothing but you have been doing something and all those little something's create something substantial!
Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day.

@Scandichic , here in the poverty stricken north there are shops that buy your old clothes and textiles paying by the weight. Didn't use them, but could have made a fortune with all my tent size dresses.
There's one near us but if I can sell them at the car boot I might make more money!

Jamrox, you have long slim legs! And look amazingly well and should be proud.

And we love you too @Pipp because you are kind, compassionate and make us all laugh out loud - thank you!

Hope someone tells me if I over step the mark too.
I think we all support each other and we are aware that 5 minutes for some can be just as hard as 25 for others. Like I said earlier that fact that we are doing anything is great.
