Hi
Does anyone have an clue about carbs in coffee from the likes of Starbucks?

I drink Tall Americanos with milk or Capachinos - and it upsets my BGs! Cant seem to get it right and am guessing caffiene could causing erratic results too!

thanks
Paul

Hi
I had a similar problem and found http://www.costa.co.uk
From website you can download list of nutritional info for all the products.

You can probably do the same for Starbucks if you google it.

thanks Cally.

For quick reference heres a guide:
for a TALL drink only
Capuciano 8 carbs
Americano 0 (thats black) - add a little for a dash of milk
Latte 15
Mocha 34! (thats with cream)
Caramel mochiato 28

enjoy!

I find that if I have a low sugar vanilla syrup in my latte( Instead of sweetener), I reduce the carbs and don't affect my BG.

milky coffees have a double whammy - milk (especially the lower the fat) contains milk sugars (is ti called lactose or am I being dima gain??) and caffeine which is "said" to cause peaks and troughs in BGs ... so a black decaff americano it is then!?!

Ps hav ejust *quite literally* fallen off my seat with shock at the carb values of the frescatos ... now I knew somewhere in the back of my head that they weren't exactly a health food, which would be why I only ever had one a week, but holy hell! 112 grammes of carb in one large (massimo) double chocolate flake frescato? that's like 2 days worth of carbs ... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! no wonder I feel better since ditching the habit! coffee that is ;) well, and sugar haha!
