I am relocating to Moscow and have not found anyone who carries Starlix 120 mg type II medication. Can anyone tell me if this medication is available in the UK or perhpas you know of its availibility in any other European country.

Thanks much,

Steve

Hi Steve,

I'm afraid Russia is only nominally a part of Europe and we in the UK know about as much about it as a country as you do. I suggest that you contact the HR dept where you are relocating to and see whether anyone can find out for you if Starlix is available over there. I know the 120mg strength can be ordered online but at $214 for 3 months supply it is expensive and I'm not sure what problems you might encounter getting it into Russia by post.

I guess worst case is to take 3 months supply with you and top up with more when you travel back home.

Steve how exciting moving to Moscow, I was working over in St Petersburgh for over a year helping to set up a refuge for women fleeing domestic violence, loved it over there.

Here is an address for you, email and ask all that you need to know, they are very helpful there.

Hey Karen,

Thank you so much for your reply and the lead to the Russian Diabetic Foundation. I sent them an email and hope to hear back from them shortly. My Russian is terrible right now so I sent it in English. Do you know if they have English speaking representatives there

Thanks again for your help!!

Regards,

Steve

Yes there are English speaking guides in most places, when I first went over all I really had was some basic knowledge of the Russian language, with that language its actually best to start off with their alphabet, you have to know it by heart that makes things a bit easier and of course you dictionary and phrase book once you are there and thrown right in the middle of it you will learn, and fast, you will see, when I started out I practised reading childrens books and progressed from there.

Good luck

Hey Dennis thank's so much for getting back to me. Do you by chance have the website or email address of the online pharmacy that sells the Starlix you wrote about in your last posting? I greatly appreciate your assistance,

Regards,

Steve
