Update, update... My bloods are regulating to around 5.5 to 6.8 on average. My new nurse has now said I can come off the dreaded insulin injections and has put me back on slow release Metformin. (My old nurse was quite horrible to me, and insisted I stop this diet immediately and continue with what had been recommended, since I had a history of hypos etc., consequently, she is no longer my nurse!!) I am overjoyed! I have been a bit naughty though and had a few bouts of popcorn nights, and butter biscuits which is my weakness, especially dunked in a nice cup of decaff coffee with evap milk!!!! Well I have been so disciplined as of late, I think I am allowed to have a moment! Anyway this is a major victory, and I must get back into the routine of this. I eat a humongous amount of veg, all of which are within my range. As I love most veg anyway this is not hard for me to do. So its going very well. Need to get to bed earlier as staying up late causes me to want to eat whilst I am studying
