It works as an appetite suppressant and works on the liver to help reduce the amount of glucose the liver dumps in our bloodstream when we are fasting or exercising. It doesn't lower BS levels as such. Statins take a good 3 weeks to clear the system, not just a couple of days.</blockquote>
