Didn't like former as was aware of risks it posed to heart. Hated latter as it affected my mood severely and made me very, very angry (almost Hulk like). Went back to hospital and demanded to get away from Metformin. Was offered the alternative, Insulin injections. Despite my intense hatred of needles, I chose that option as I felt that Metformin would have turned me into Hannibal Lecter!!Been on Insulin since 1989, have made many a change along the way but am loving life right now!</blockquote>
