hello.
11 years in and I'm still gamely stabbing my fingers, pushing needles in and so on.
Listen, my diabetes nurse said yesterday that some diabetics with terrible blood sugar control go 40 years with no complications. Some obsessive 4.8ers do 2 years on the needle then start to shed feet, eyes, kidneys.... I understand about large scale effect studies, I know about odds, can anyone point me at some good studies to give me the numbers?
At the moment I'm trying really really hard to get good bloods rather than raspberry syrup/sugar free Ribena swings. Is it worth it? Should I trust to luck?
Give me stats.
Please, you diabetics you.
