Hi, Is there anyone else out there with Steroid Induced type 2 Diabetes, I was diagnosed about 6 years ago after being on Prednisolone for 40 years for Crohns Disease, I was not monitored closely enough over the years to reduced the amount of steroids hence now have this awful condition.
I am not over weight ( all of 9st - 4lbs). I eat a healthy diet but still have high readings, I need Carbs for my Crohn’s disease but not for my Diabetes so try to keep them as low as possible, my reading go from 5’s fasting, up to 14 to 18 after lunch and back to between 9 and 11 at bedtime, a never ending circle, any help would be so good, all my nurse said was try to cut the Steroids but that did not work, it made the Arthritis worse, which is another side effect.
