Does anyone take a steroid inhaler regularly?
If so do you experience raised blood sugars?

Yes I do so increased basal to compensate.
I just increased mine for a couple of hours in the morning as use the spray once a day. The increase was 0.25uIve increased everything by 20%, only realized yesterday what it was. What kind of increase do you do? I'm not convinced 20% is enough yet.
There are different types of inhalers with different amounts of steroid in them, Mine is only a small amount as it's used for hay fever.Mine is twice a day and I went from 7.9 -11 without any food and having walked (about a mile). Pre inhaler I would expect a drop to hypo levels doing that :-/
It's well known fact that that high doses and long term use of steroids cause diabetes. Hence why it's called steroid induced diabetesI've always had a sneaky suspicion that steroids and steroid inhalers lead to Diabetes. It is well known that steroids raise blood glucose. Maybe I'm wrong, but it would be interesting to see how many people with Diabetes also use steroid inhalers.
