Hi, I have had Type 1 for 27 years. As my child got older, a friend talked about me trying dating sites, I did, eventually. Some men were not so nice about my medical condition and even blanked me. But this year, I met someone who didn't bat an eyelid at diabetes, plus I have other auto immune conditions and does he everything he can to understand what I have to do and he keeps glucose tablets in his car and on himself at all times, he has even injected me, so they're are some nice ones out there who can see pass the condition. It was difficult and very frustrating at times and I nearly gave up so many times. It does start with yourself, stand tall, keep your chin up and someone out there will love you for who you are, you have to like and love yourself first. and the rest will follow. Good luck and all the best, take care x ps, I was on my own( single) for over a decade with my now teenager.
