I am confused please give me some advice I'm learning to control.
I was having symptoms which I thought were dips in my blood glucose levels but my glucometer readings 2 hours after food were around 8 to10 so obviously not blood sugar dip .
Today I had sweaty panicky feeling , could nt concentrate, couldnt get my brain to work ,I've had for as long as I can remember if I dont have enough to eat prior to lunch , glucometer reading was 5.4 .I had a banana and within 10 minutes felt fine. Are these feelings all in my head?

If your levels were raised prior to diagnosis and now through diet they are coming down will cause
Hypo symptoms without actually having a hypo. Usually referred to as a "false hypo". Even non diabetics can get this feeling if going too long without food. Eating regular will help.

Thanks Brett , I now usually make sure I have an apple or banana about 11 but today I forgot to take it with me duh I ll not do that again.
Can anyone advise what's happening when I'm having the horrible feelings but my glucometer readings are about 8 to 10

I am type 2 with medication and I get symptoms of feeling cold, starting to shake, and going white when my blood sugar goes down to about 3.0 ans I like you then have an Apple, or Banana and within 10 minutes am OK again.
False Hypo is certainly a possibility. But also are you washing and drying your fingers before doing your test, having a residue on your fingers can affect the reading, and when testing 8 to 9 and getting Hypo symptoms may be you are actually lower.
Having these symptoms is normally a sign of good control better low than too high.
