Type of diabetes
Type 2
Hi everyone

A while ago I posted a thread that I had reversed Diabetes type 2 in three months with the caveat that the early morning blood sugar level needed some attention.

The daytime levels are great. I only have breakfast and lunch. I switched my medication for high blood pressure, high cholesterol and gout to mid-day as they were affecting my early morning reading which I have now got to the lower 6 (M/mol). About once a week I can get the reading below 6.

The problem is I take my usual lunch and get an evening reading of below 6 then without eating anything at all I get varied readings in the morning from 6.9 to over 7.

1) Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

2) Any suggestions for a solution?

Any info would be appreciated.

Kindest regards

Hi there, the sad truth is, some of us never get the fbg reading as low as we would like owing to the Dawn Phenomenon where the lived dumps stored glucose into our bloodstream to give us the energy to get up and going in the morning. My non-diabetic, super-fit husband often has fbg in the high 5s. If the rest of your readings are good that is what actually matters.
