Yes, these trad med docs can really set heads spinning, even their own. I'm just humoring mine by going to the Dietician when my Obamacare kicks in. I will stick with what I've learned from this forum, and other research I have done. I treated myself to TWO AVOCADOS today!!!!:joyful: I ate them while waiting for the lorry (bus:p) and I thought they might freeze and I would create a new frozen treat. Avocado Midwestern style. Tomorrow I will stock up on them and other fantastic stuff. I also had Greek, fat-free, yogurt which was so rich that it tasted like full-fat. I had that with fresh black-berries. I have been getting help from a local clinic that gives me vouchers so that I can see the GP, have basic test done, have Rx meds filled low-cost, etc, but, no specialists through this local clinic. I have to wait for our president's creation to kick in for that. Needless to say the stress in getting the Obamacare application done has been enormous. Just as predicted so, far, it's been nearly a month and the medicaid bureaucracy has screwed everything up royally. Every day a new nightmare. I'm a pretty good record-keeper, which is fortunate because I usually have to plan for the worse when dealing with these federal agencies. I know the UK has National Health coverage. Looks like its been working well for the UK; but, I doubt it will work as well here. Doc said that my heart seems to be acting up from 1) certain foods; 2) stress as in dealing with anxiety-producing issues (such as rental managers). She does not think the symptoms are necessarily indicative of serious heart-trouble, but, I have agreed to go for a 2-day stress test.:woot: No yeast infection, or so she thinks, but, I still want to be tested. I have the HbA1c calculator on my PC desktop. My weekly BG average is getting better.
