Stinking cold

Hi all. I have type 2 diabetes and inject insulin plus am on metformin. Trouble is I also have high blood pressure which I'm on medication for and I'm told I shouldnt take Lemsip and the like as can stop blood pressure pills from working. I have an absolute stinking cold and have to travel tomorrow, does anyone no of anything that I'll be able to take which is safe? Feeling very miserable
 
Can you use Vick Sinex for the nose; I always have some as I have sinusitis so when I have a cold I get bunged up and really headachy; stops all that. Not sure what drinks you can have as strong black coffee is my drink all the time!!!
