It depends on how long you need to starve yourself!
Seriously, it won't do any harm to stop for a day or two; then re-introduce them when you start adding (eg) soup to your liquids. Don't forget to go back on them gradually, in case they upset your stomach as well. :wink:
Your BGs will go up a little naturally, if you're ill, so don't worry too much. Get well soon!
