Hi

I used to get stomach upset (loose stools) frequently, but since following a low carb diet since my diagnosis I have had 7 weeks without one. - I have no gall bladder I sometimes had an idea what food/drink or combination of foods had caused it.

I haven't had anything different to eat/drink in the last 24 hours. I did go out on a Xmas do on Friday (3 course meal at Lunchtime, and out drinking until 9pm ish) - I would've expected if this was the cause to have had a dicky tummy on Saturday?

I also had the flu jab and the pneumococcal vaccine on Friday and wondered if these could be the cause. The arm I had the pneumococcal vaccine in has been quite sore, and hot.

I fell asleep this afternoon (again I haven't done that in ages) and when I woke up - my tummy started playing up.

Neither vaccine has diarrhoea listed as a side effect, so I just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar. It may just be a coincidence as I know it is the season for bugs and things anyway.

could simple be a bug you picked up the flu shot or anything...I understand you don't want to go back to before, but it's more than likely a one off..
I was the same, and a change of diet fixed it..I took a mix of probiotics when I went LCHF too

After switching to low-carb, do you consume less fruits, fruit juices and soda (which is often sweetened by high fructose corn syrup)?

If you have fructose malabsorption, then foods that contain more fructose than glucose (apples, pears, mango, honey, foods sweetened by HFCS...) and foods with sorbitol, xylitol or other polyols (chewing gum, "low-calorie" foods...) can trigger loose stools and bloating.
