Hi,
This may be off topic but cannot see where else to post it.
I keep getting email "news" type emails from this forum and do not want them. Cannot see anywhere in profiles setting to stop them (only private messages can be stopped?).
Can someone please tell me how to stop these unwanted emails from diabetes.co.uk?
Customer helplines that use recorded menus that promise to put me through to the right person but never do - and being ill. Oh, and did I mention customer helplines :)
Hi Alpha, as far as I know the email notifications can be stopped by simply clicking a link on one of the emails, I could be wrong but I believe there will be a 'Stop Subscribing To These News Items' type link on the bottom of each email.
If I am wrong I'm sure Ken or Sue will have the answer, you could also just delete them as I do, it only takes a nano second and just occasionally there will be something of interest to me that I would miss if I subscribed.

Yep, thought so, look at the very bottom of one of the emails and you will see this:
This e-mail was sent to (your email address) by Diabetes.co.uk because you are a valued Diabetes.co.uk community member who opted to receive the newsletter. If you don't want to receive e-mails (please don't leave!) in the future, unsubscribe from it here.
Just click the word here that is underlined, not here in this post but on one of your emails
Hi
Thanks for the information.
I kind of tuned out the footer information I guess.
No devious reason - I just prefer to read the forum only.
regards to all.
Nic if you go into your profile there is an option "preferences" (click on the little avatar top right of screen). On that page you will find a check box to turn off emails.
