A warning. Tried quite a few as I do like the taste and the convenience of ready made salad bowls, M&S Tesco and Boots spike my blood sugars and yet I can't see why. Must be the mayo's they put in it or the small amount of pasta - anyway there is something in them thats very bad. I did look at the carbs and they are quite high for a full bowl about 40g but 20g for half one which is what I would eat for lunch should not surely send you up 4 points 2 hours after, without there being an added ingredient that causes this, but I cant see what. oh well home made salads for me from now on.

I'm not surprised sd, but 40g carbs in a salad must include pasta or beans of some sort I would have thought. Did you notice if there was an 'of which sugars' figure, because this would at least tell us if sugar in the dressing was to blame.

Home made salads are going to be much better, obviously, but it takes a bit of planning sometimes. They're also much much cheaper.
