Storing pump insulin

I use nova rapid and am wondering how I can store half used vials. I have just been leaving them out and wondering if some high levels I have been experiencing are related.

Thanks.

insulin kept at room temperature is meant to be ok for 30 days but no longer than that... If you dont use a full vial within 30 days, so that you dont need to throw it away, you can keep the insulin vial in the fridge, fill the cartridge and then get the cartridge to room temperature or body temp.

We leave the used vial at room temperature, we go through a cartridge every 4 days so it is only sat around for about 8 days

My vials last just over a week maybe two and once opened stay at room temperature as I was told by the Pump educator that if I keep it in the fridge I'd get air bubbles in the set if I just loaded the insulin straight into it without it being at room temperature. I get a new vial out about a day before I need to change sets so that it is definitily at room temperature before I need it.

I even go as far as filling up three cartridges in advance from the one vial as James uses his cartridge up in 4-5 days and put them aside in a safe and convenient place (at room temperature). It seems to work for us.
